The regulations require anyone whose license was issued after Dec. 1, 2009 to take specific “New Licensee” continuing education course.The 14 hours consist of a 7 hour general module that all must take and one of 2 elective modules (one 7 hour module directed at Residential practitioners and another 7 hour module directed at Commercial/Industrial practitioners).
All other licensees still have the choice of any 14 hours (including the ones described above) or a broker credit course.

Agency & Ethics
This 7 hour course will review the agency laws with emphasis on Dual Agency & Transaction Licensee. We will also review the NAR Code of Ethics with emphasis on those articles that are most often issues or violated. This course will also satisfy the NAR quadrennial ethics training required of ALL Realtors® by December of 2012.

Selling HUD and REO properties
This 3.5 hour course, taught by an expert will explain the difference between selling HUD properties and REO’s. It will describe the process for selling each in detail. You will also be shown how to navigate the web site for HUD homes, which contain much important information and various reports. The instructor will review the HUD contracts, inspections and other requirements.

This is the 7 hour course that anyone whose license was issued after Dec. 1, 2009 must complete. It may also satisfy 7 hours for other licensees. The topics which are dictated by the Real Estate Commission include duties of licensees, prohibited acts, closing costs, contracts, title info and details related to these topics.

Required Residential Module
This 7 hour course is one of the 2 that anyone whose license was issued after Dec. 1, 2009 must complete in addition to the General Module addressed above. It may also satisfy 7 hours for other licensees. The topics which are dictated by the Real Estate Commission include; the Uniform Constructiuon Code, land development, environmental issues, home inspection and warranties, Fair Housing, and the residential Agreement of Sale.
