Continuing Education
The License Act requires all licensees to complete 14 hours of Mandatory Continuing Education during each 2 year renewal period, it also requires those that wish to activate their inactive (in escrow) license to complete 14 hours of Continuing Education in the 2 years prior to submitting the re-activation application.
The regulations require anyone whose license was issued after Dec. 1, 2009 to take specific “New Licensee” continuing education course. The 14 hours consist of a 7 hour general module that all must take and one of 2 elective modules (one 7 hour module directed at Residential practitioners and another 7 hour module directed at Commercial/Industrial practitioners).
All other licensees still have the choice of any 14 hours including these.
